Pepsi North America Cup winner Its My Show solidified his hold on No. 1 in the Week 2 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released on Tuesday, June 20 while the remainder of the Top 10 saw plenty of movement and two newcomers.
Sylvia Hanover, who won the Fan Hanover Stakes, jumped from seventh to second in the rankings followed by Jiggy Jog S, who captured the second leg of the Graduate Series for four-year-old trotters. Roses Are Red Stakes winner Grace Hill vaulted from outside the Top 10 to fourth while idle Special Way completed the top five.
Idle Lochinvar Art A was sixth followed by North America Cup runner-up Confederate, who was a newcomer at seventh. Idle Ruthless Hanover was eighth with Covered Bridge and Hellabalou, who finished 1-2, respectively, in Monday’s Yonkers Open rounding out the group.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine U.S. Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
