Twin B Tuffenuff Seeks Red Shores Redemption

Harness Racing at Charlottetown Driving Park

He may have had his win streak cut short last week but Twin B Tuffenuff will be slated as the top choice in the Preferred Pace on Saturday (June 17) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval has a 12-dash presentation starting at 6 p.m. with the $3,600 Preferred Pace headlining the card in Race 11. Twin B Tuffenuff is the morning line favourite in the event from post four with Gilles Barrieau back in the bike for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Pat Morris of Charlottetown. The eight-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven stallion was a winner his last three starts in 2022 then finished fourth in his seasonal debut last week.

No Plan Intended, the 2022 Governor's Plate Champion returns to the east coast and draws post three in the Saturday Preferred for driver Jason Hughes and trainer Jennifer Doyle. The Up The Credit gelding has been competing in Ontario for the first part of 2023 with two wins including a 1:54 victory at The Raceway at Western Fair District in London.

Time To Dance has post six with trainer Marc Campbell sitting in the race bike this week after winning his last two starts for catch drivers. The Invitational star will be seeking win number 45 of his career.

Matticulous GB gets his first inside draw of 2023 as Ken Murphy will guide the Colin Johnson trainee from the rail. Rollwithhottytoddy (Myles Heffernan Sr.) leaves from post two from the Trevor Hicken barn while Kenny Arsenault gets the catch driving call behind the Tom Weatherbie-trained Fern Hill General from post five.

The Post Time Picks like Twin B Tuffenuff to win.

"We went with Twin B Tuffenuff last week and he finished fourth but did fire home in a swift :27.4. He should be a little tighter this week and Barrieau knows him best so we’re jumping back on board."

The Hillside Chevrolet Drive For Home Series has Fishermans Son joining the Melissa Rennie stable with post six in the sixth for driver Adam Merner and Cape Breton owners Walter Walker and the Estate of Angus MacInnis. The Arthur Blue Chip three-year-old was a stakes star as a two-year-old in 2022 with six wins from just nine starts and $43,048 in the bank. His chief rivals on Saturday include Hippyjohn (Arsenault) and Sports Royalty (Campbell).
