JMs Finaltreasure Streaks Into NJ Final

In two starts at Freehold Raceway this season, JMs Finaltreasure hasn't had an anxious moment. This Saturday (Oct. 16), he'll look to add to his Freehold credentials in the final of the New Jersey Sire Stakes-Standardbred Development Fund Series.

He's won two stakes at Freehold in dominating fashion, taking the Renaissance Pace for two-year-old colts and geldings on September 25 in 1:53.4 and winning the second leg of the NJSS-SDF series last week in 1:54. In between those starts, he was impressive in a leg of the Bluegrass Series at the Red Mile, going in 1:50.4 on October 2.

The Sweet Lou-Worldly Treasure gelding drew post position four in the field of six for trainer Ron Burke and driver Joe Bongiorno. He's listed at 2-5 on the morning line, but will likely go off at lower odds.

Camouflage Money looms as the biggest danger to JMs Finaltreasure. He won the first leg of the series on October 2 in 1:53.4, then finished second behind JMs Finaltreasure last week. He'll try to pull off the upset from post position six for trainer Linda Toscano and driver Troy Beyer.

Bloodhound, Shakertown, Vintage Valentino and One Of The Guys round out the field. The race is scheduled as the fifth on the card, with a post time of 1:50 p.m.

The Saturday card also features the second leg of the NJSS-SDF for two-year-old filly pacers. The top two finishers in leg one last week, Counterparty Risk and JK I Feel Fine, drew posts six and seven, respectively, in the seven-horse field. Counterparty Risk went gate-to-wire to win in 1:56.3 last week for trainer Tony Alagna and driver Vinny Ginsburg. JK I Feel Fine sat in the pocket and held on for second for trainer Brian Malone and driver Jim Marohn Jr. That race is the third race on the card, scheduled for 1:10 p.m.

First post time on the 13-race Saturday card is approximately 12:30 p.m.
