$25,000 Breeders Crown eliminations – Three-Year-Old Filly Pace

Party Girl Hill took a perfect record into her elimination, and she kept that perfect record intact thanks to another solid score for the team of driver Dexter Dunn and trainer Chris Ryder.

Dunn slipped his charge into the three-hole while Peaky Sneaky shot to the front and laid down first-half panels of :25.4 and :56.3. Peaky Sneaky was still in charge at the three-quarter pole in 1:24.3, but Party Girl Hill was first over and driving. She continued to apply pressure on the leader in the lane and eventually hauled that one down in the closing strides. Party Girl Hill prevailed in 1:50.1 over Peaky Sneaky and Drama Act.

So it’s now 14 wins from as many starts for the daughter of Captaintreacherous-Look Cheap, who is owned by Tom Hill of Lancashire, UK. She’s stashed away more than $800,000 to date.

Heavily-favoured Lyons Sentinel turned in a strong, stretch rally to take home top honours in her assignment for driver Tim Tetrick and trainer Jim King, Jr.

The daughter of Captaintreacherous-Tutu Hanover laid off the early speed set by Hen Party (:25.2) and Priceless (:55.2 and 1:23.3), but she was a force to be reckoned with in the lane. She uncorked a big kick in the late going and it propelled her to the win over JK First Lady in 1:49.4. New Year was third.

Threelyonsracing of Brantford, Ontario owns the 12-time winner who has put together a 3-7-0 record from 12 trips to the track this year. She’s a winner in excess of $1.2 million in her career.

The post draw for the three-year-old filly pace was conducted later in the evening, and the results appear below.

He went into sprint mode in the lane, however, kicking home in :25.4 to win by a wide margin over Caviart Lotus and JK Going West.

It was the ninth win of the year from 11 attempts for the gelding, who was sent off as the 2-5 favourite in the eight-horse affair. Owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC, Phillip Collura, Knox Services Inc and Jandt Silva Purnel & Libb, Southwind Gendry has now banked $421,769 in his rookie season.

Perfect Sting kept his perfect record intact when he laid a whooping on the seven foes he sparred with in the second elimination.
