Devaux Wins Five At Monticello

On any given day, there are a handful of drivers at Monticello Raceway that can win five races. Monday (April 1) was Jim Devaux’s day.

Devaux won the first race with Let Me Explain ($9.40, 2:00.1) before teaming with Murray Bassen trainees Bestgirlfriendever ($2.70, 2:00.4) and Mylittlesurfergirl ($4.10, 1:56.3) in races three and five.

Mylittlesurfergirl gave Jim Devaux his third of five driving wins on Monday afternoon at Monticello.

Meadowbranch Max ($3.20, 2:02.1) accounted for Devaux's fourth win of the card in the sixth race before Kamwood Laughter N ($2.80, 1:58), a 12-year-old daughter of Live Or Die trained by Joe Skowyra, rounded out Devaux's afternoon with a win in the seventh.

Devaux currently sits in third among drivers at Monticello with 61 wins so far this season, behind leader Austin Siegelman — who has notched four driving quintuples on the season — with 99 and Mike Merton with 70.
