June Maritime Stakes Dates Shifted

The various stakeholders of the Maritime provinces met last week and have made revisions to the Maritime Stakes Calendar to accommodate the delayed opening of the Atlantic Bubble.

The decision was made to revert back to a July start which has resulted in the June dates being rescheduled throughout the existing schedule.

Please note the following changes:

- Atlantic Sires Stakes three-year-old pacing colts (Saturday, June 12): Moves to Saturday, July 24 at Northside Downs

- Atlantic Sires Stakes three-year-old pacing fillies (Sunday, June 6): Moves to Sunday, August 8 at Inverness Raceway

- Atlantic Aged Pacing Mares (Friday, June 18): Moves to Monday, September 27 at Summerside Raceway

- Home Hardware Maritime Breeders for three-year-old pacing colts and fillies (Friday, June 18): Moves to Saturday, October 30 at Charlottetown Driving Park

- Nova Scotia Stake three-year-old pacing colts: Moves to Sunday, November 7 at Truro Raceway

- The Donnie and George Turner Memorial for three-year-old pacing colts and fillies: Moves to Sunday, November 14 at Truro Raceway.

- The Ladner and Walter Dale Invitational dates will remain unchanged.

Participants are asked to monitor the Atlantic Sires Stakes and PEI Harness Racing Industry Association websites as well as Standardbred Canada for any future changes that may arise.
