Jump Start Series Returns To Buffalo

Buffalo Raceway is set to open for its 2024 racing season on Saturday, March 2. The track will run Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. in the month of March.

In addition to racing three days a week, Buffalo Raceway will be featuring a three-division series that will run for three weeks. The first of two divisions of the Jump Start Series for pacers will kick off Wednesday, April 10, and highlights those who have not won $10,810 (fillies and mares, $13,513) in 2024 with eight or more starts and will go for two legs of $13,513 and a final of $27,027. The second division for pacers will start Saturday, April 13 and will be open to those who have not won $16,216 (fillies and mares, $20,270) in 2024 with eight or more starts. The first two legs will race for $16,892 and a final for $33,784.

There will also be a division starting Friday, April 12 for trotters who have not won $13,513 (fillies and mares, $16,216) in 2024 with eight or more starts and will have two legs that go for $14,865 and a final for $30,405.  

To be eligible for the series, a horse must have raced a minimum of two starts at Buffalo Raceway of the eight or more total starts in 2024.
