Goshen Standardbred Horse Sales has announced that their 2022 Goshen Yearling Sale will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, at 12 noon at the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, New York. The deadline for all consignments made to this sale is Monday, June 13.

Last year, the GYS saw numbers soar to the highest level ever realized in Middletown since the inception of the sale in 2015. A total of 122 yearlings changed hands and generated sales in excess of $2.1 million, which was a 24 per cent increase over the previous sales record of $1.6 million, set in 2019.

“We had a very large turnout of about 1,500 buyers in person at the sale, but our continuing partnership with Cattle In Motion for online bidding and video services drove the remote attendance and buying power much higher for the third consecutive year. Last year’s sale couldn’t have gone any better, but we’re still working hard to improve this year to make it the best buying and selling experience possible for all,” said Mark Ford.

This promises to once again be a deep and quality sale, anchored by consignments from sale regulars Cameo Hills Farm, Winbak Farm and Blue Chip Farm.

For the last seven years, the Goshen Yearling Sale has brought quality New York-bred stock to the sales arena from the industry’s top breeders and have seen a host of high-speed, quality stakes winners hit the track as a result. The sale has grown exponentially in both size and popularity each year, and remains a favourite yearling venue for both buyers and consignors heading into its eighth year.

The sales facility is located at 90 Slaughter Road, Middletown, N.Y., which is within a 90-minute drive of many major racetracks and training centres in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, making it a very convenient location.

All inquiries should be made to Mark Ford at 973-568-3253 or by email at [email protected].
