Buffalo Raceway has announced that Carlee Comer will serve as the track's outrider for the 2024 racing season.

Comer grew up riding horses and competed as a barrel racer. She first jumped into the harness racing industry in 2012 as a groom for the Burke Racing Stable and has since worked her way up into helping to manage the southern Ohio sector of the stable.

Comer was the backup outrider at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway for the 2023 racing season working alongside Ashley Holliday and successfully completed the 2023 U.S. Trotting Outriding Clinic. Comer also worked alongside Holliday as an assistant outrider for the 2023 Little Brown Jug.

“We are excited to have Carlee join our team,” said Jon Cramer, Buffalo Raceway's General Manager.  “She has track experience and demonstrated her abilities at the USTA clinic. We are confident that she will work well with both our staff and horsemen and provide a high level of safety for the horses and drivers at Buffalo Raceway.”

Buffalo Raceway management is excited to kick off the 57-day meet starting Saturday, March 2 with Comer joining the staff. Management asks that any horsemen with horses requiring outrider services to talk with Comer prior to the races.
