The Time To Win Aims For Four

The 'Campbell-Ford' partnership has seen The Time To Win unheeded at the wire every week. The trio will be looking for its fourth consecutive victory in this Thursday evening's (Oct. 22) feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The CDP's 12-dash Thursday program carries a 6 p.m. post time, and the $2,350 pacing feature is set to line up for Race 11.

The Time To Win has won all three of her outings since joining the Bo Ford stable, including pacing to a 1:56 seasonal record in her latest effort with Marc Campbell at the controls for owner Shirley Weeks of Fredericton. The six-year-old daughter of Western Ideal will look for the eighteenth win of her career this week, and she is scheduled to start from Post 3. The Tom Weatherbie-trained Temagami Seelster is set to hold down Post 4 with driver Brodie MacPhee. The Sunshine Beach sophomore has recorded six wins since coming to the east coast this past summer. Miss Kabana will have rail control for the brotherly combination of driver Vincent Poulton and trainer Gary Poulton. Miss Kabana is fresh off of a 1:57.1 front-end victory last week.

Peter MacPhee with the 'Post Time Picks' has leaned on Temagami Seelster to grab the top spot. “Temagami Seelster is a six-time winner this year and just missed at the wire in her last start. She gets a slightly better post and with Brodie back at the controls we think they get it all.”

Other featured entrants are Private Di (to be driven by Kenny Arsenault), Dustylane Zambucca (Corey MacPherson), Southwind Ion (David Dowling) and Lyons Jennielee (Myles Heffernan Sr.).

The top trotters will clash again this week in Race 10, and Gilles Barrieau will be returning to the bike behind Mile Hill Willie from Post 4 in the $2,400 Open Trot. The Paul Morrison-trained son of Armbro Barrister boasts six wins, one second and one third from 10 starts this season, which has pushed his lifetime record to 18 wins from 34 races. Freddie knocked off the open trotters last week and is set to start from Post 5 on Thursday for trainer-driver Marc Campbell. Island Ocean Trot Series champion Daisy River has the outside Post 6 with Jason Hughes at the lines for trainer William Lanigan after having been the runner-up in this class last week.
