The live card of harness racing slated for Sunday (Jan. 9) at Fraser Downs has been cancelled due to unsafe track conditions.
"In the best interest of racing and all its participants we have decided to cancel racing for tomorrow, Sunday, January 9, 2022," said Nigel Holmes of Harness Racing B.C. "This decision is made due to the unsafe track conditions created by the constant fluctuations of temperature and weather conditions which is causing the track surface to constantly freeze and thaw.
"We would hope that the weather will be more cooperative moving forward."
Fraser's next race day is scheduled to be Sunday, Jan. 16.
