Avacakes, a half sister to the fastest two-year-old trotter of 2023, fetched a six-figure sale price on Monday afternoon (Sept. 11).
Avacakes brought a winning bid of $140,000 selling online via onGait.com. Sold by Steve Finkelstein's Jesmeral Stable of New York, the four-year-old Father Patrick-Avalicious mare was purchased by Doug Paul of Delaware. A two-time winner, she took her lifetime mark of 1:57.1 last year at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Avacakes is a half sister to the undefeated Tactical Landing colt, Karl (pictured above), who set a North American season's record for freshman trotters of 1:52.1 winning a division of the Kentucky Championship Series at The Red Mile on Aug. 20.
