Yorkton Exhibition hosted an eight-race program on Tuesday, and it turned out to be a program dominated by trainer Tyler Redwood

.

The resident of Regina, Saskatchewan sent out four winners on the card, and in doing so he pushed his yearly total to 27 – a personal best since he launched his career in 2001.

Redwood took the opener with Minettas Liberty in 2:01.2. He guided the mare to the 1-1/2 length tally for owner Keith Johnson of Lashburn, SK. Bubblemint found her way to victory lane just two races later, thus giving Redwood the training and driving double early on the program.

Tax Trap eked out a narrow victory for Redwood in Race 5. The gelded son of Allamerican Ingot rallied to win by one-quarter of a length for Redwood in 2:02.1. The training Grand Slam for Redwood was completed in Race 6 thanks to Stonebridge Camlot’s 1:59.4 victory. Glenn Le Drew was behind the gelding, who drew clear to win by 3-3/4 lengths over stablemate Black Mac, who was driven by Redwood.

The four-win performance for Redwood helped him inch closer to the 100-win mark. He finished the day with 92 lifetime victories and more than $138,000 in purses won.
