Marc Campbell continued his dominance on the Saturday evening (Aug. 27) program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Campbell won five races on the Saturday card, including the final three dashes from his own barn as Time To Dance disposed of his competition in the Race 12 Preferred Pace in line to trainer Campbell, stopping the clock in a snappy 1:51.4. The $3,500 class saw Bettim Again (Driven by Jason Hughes) sit in the two-hole to finish second ahead of Rose Run Quest (Adam Merner). Brent Campbell of Charlottetown shares ownership of the Invitational star with Matt McDonald of Edwards, Ont.

Campbell also won with a pair of pacing colts from his own Orwell operation with Fern Hill Gusto winning Race 11 in 1:54.4 and St Charlesfireball winning Race 13 in 1:54.2.

Campbell also won with Euchred (winning mile of 1:56.2) for trainer Walter Walker in the Omer Caissie Memorial and Acrobat Hanover (1:55.2) for Lenny Myers to extend his dash title lead to five races ahead of second place David Dowling.

Better Be In Love won the $3,200 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace in 1:53.4 from the Brendon Mullen barn for partners Cole MacLaren and Erin McCardle. Dale Spence was above the wheels for the 15-1 upset performance in the Happy 70th BL Pace.

Live racing continues Sunday afternoon (Aug. 28) at 1 p.m. (ADT) at Red Shores Summerside featuring the Joe O’Brien Memorial Stake and the Lady Slipper Stakes for two-year-old pacers along with the Island Ocean’s Trot presented by JD Marine & Diving Inc.
