In the two $8,500 divisions comprising the fourth leg of the Prospect Series for sophomore trotting fillies on Saturday (Aug. 12) evening at Hiawatha Horse Park, Savannahs Dream and Its Sally Deal took home victories in their respective splits.

In the faster of the two divisions, Savannahs Dream controlled the timer to win every panel in :28.1, 1:00 and 1:29.4. With a :29.1 last quarter, Bruce Richardson took his trainee, Savannahs Dream, to a 4-1/4-length victory in 1:59. Pajamas Optional (Jeffrey O'Brien) finished second with Cash Deals (Mario Baillargeon) third.

Richardson co-owns the Archangel-Always Dreaming filly with Joseph Coffey and Peter Irwin as she took home her second seasonal and second career win while putting up a career-best time. Savannahs Dream paid out a $4.80 win ticket.

In the second division, Its Sally Deal led from the outside as the field of five passed the opening panel :29.1 before sliding into the front along the rail. Scott Wray and the Jack Wray trainee continued to lead through a half in 1:00.3 and three-quarters in 1:29.1 before winning by a half-length in 2:00. April Duford (Dennis Duford) took second and Divinne Magic (Keith Jones) held the show spot.

Owned by Dave Husul, Arlene Husul and Nancy D'Hulster, the three-year-old Wheeling N Dealin filly earned her second win of the season and second lifetime victory. It was also a career-best time for Its Sally Deal, who paid $8.10 to win.

Hot Fudge Sundae won the $5,000 Preferred 3 Trot on the evening card with Alfred Carroll in the bike for trainer Angela Carroll.

Hot Fudge Sundae got away third off the car and stayed in third through the quarter in :27.1 and half in :57.1. Before the three-quarters in 1:27, Carroll pulled his right line and sent Hot Fudge Sundae on a first-over advance to the top. Around the final turn, the pair had cleared the lead. After a battle down the stretch, Hot Fudge Sundae prevailed by a half length in 1:58.2 over Monteverdi (Natasha Day). Spun From Magic (Garrett Rooney) finished third.

Angela and Mary Carroll co-own the six-year-old Kadabra gelding as he won his fifth start this season and 16th career victory. Hot Fudge Sundae paid $16.20 to win.
