While the racetrack is a well-known hotbed of activity during PEI's Old Home Week, one Hollywood celebrity was able to check out the action a few days beforehand to see what racing at Red Shores is all about.
Nine days ago, actress Anne Heche let the world know via Instagram that she was taking in some harness racing action at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Hollywood veteran posted a railbird shot of driver Brodie MacPhee and PH Littlecam from Saturday, August 3 at the CDP. The photo was accompanied by a quick blurb from Heche. 'At the races! PEI!' she wrote.
Heche, a mainstay on the silver screen and television series since the early '90s, later uploaded a picture of one of her children proudly holding a Canadian five-dollar bill, the actress' winnings from making a small wager on one of the races.
Heche's husband, James Tupper, a native of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, posted a picture of his bride along the rail with horses rushing by in the background. The photo appears below.
