Harness racing participants and fans worldwide will again be able to watch the two-year-old races and qualifiers held at Gaitway Farm and Magical Acres all through the month of June as The First Mile, presented by onGait and produced by 412 Communications, kicks off its third season on Monday, June 5.
The First Mile will present live full-card coverage from Gaitway Farm on Monday mornings (June 5, 12, 19 and 26) and from Magical Acres on Wednesday mornings (June 14, 21 and 28), streaming in full high definition. Harness racing media veteran and series producer James Witherite will again serve as lead commentator and will be joined on air by a wide range of expert analysts and horsepeople throughout the month-long series.
The First Mile’s coverage in 2021 and 2022 garnered over 28,000 views across 15 total race days, with viewership consisting of harness racing participants and fans across North America, Europe and Australasia.
The First Mile, presented by onGait, will begin on 9:45 a.m. EDT on Mondays and 8:15 a.m. EDT on Wednesdays, with the streams being carried on the Standardbred Canada website throughout the month.
