Grand Circuit stakes champion Fourever Boy made his four-year-old qualifying debut a winning one on Tuesday morning (May 2) at The Meadows.

Driven by Mike Wilder, Fourever Boy toured the Pennsylvania oval with panels of :29, :57.4 and 1:26 in sloppy conditions before holding off a wide-drifting Market Based, the only contender in the three-horse qualifer with Ruffle Up off stride at the start. Fourever Boy prevailed by a neck in 1:54.1.

Trained by Tim Twaddle and co-owned by Micki Rae Stables, Fourever Boy (Sweet Lou-Macharoundtheclock) was a four-time winner with seven other top three finishes from 24 starts as a sophomore and earned more than a half-million dollars to boost his bankroll to $778,211. His highlights included a three-race win streak in late summer with victories in the Pennsylvania Sires Stakes Championship, the Simcoe Stakes in a career-best 1:49 at Woodbine Mohawk Park (pictured above) and an elimination heat of the Little Brown Jug followed by a runner-up finish in the final.
