Tiempo Hanover delivered on his pari-mutuel promise in Sunday afternoon's featured $12,000 Open Pace at Fraser Downs, leading all the way for trainer/driver Brandon Campbell.

A runner-up to his (absent) stablemate Sunshine Boy last time out two weeks ago, Tiempo Hanover took charge this week and carved out fractions of :27.3, :57.1 and 1:25 en route to the 1:53.1 triumph. He held off pocket-pursuer Kootenay Santanna (David Kelly), who came within a half-length through the passing lane, while Armycaptin Hanover (Kelly Hoerdt) improved to third.

After kicking off his eight-year-old campaign with three consecutive wins in the Open class, Tiempo Hanover was back to his winning ways following a pair of recent second-place finishes. He returned $3.70 to win as the 4-5 favourite in Sunday's short field of five.

The Western Ideal gelding, who is currently owned by Alberta's Jodi Loftus, Dana Shore and Raymond Henry, now boasts 25 career victories and earnings totalling $231,600.
