Somebodyslilly Holds In Dayton Open

Indiana invader Somebodyslilly earned a hard-fought narrow 1:52.1 victory in Hollywood Dayton’s $25,000 Open Handicap Pace on Thursday (Dec. 22). 

After cutting the entire mile, the five-year-old daughter of Time To Roll barely held off  Virgil Morgan Jr. stablemates Marloe Hanover and Alexa Skye in a thrilling stretch duel. It was the fourth seasonal win for Somebodyslilly in 17 starts, raising the winner’s 2022 earnings to $63,409 for owner-trainer Eli Schwartz. Her career bankroll has swelled to $345,649. Lewayne Miller drove the winner.

Racing at Dayton has been cancelled for Friday, Dec. 23 due to an impending winter storm

The 2022 Hollywood Dayton meet will conclude with five consecutive 4 p.m. programs from Monday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 30.
