After a sweeping performance last Thursday evening, Redlandbethanyjean is lining herself up for a repeat this week at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval has a 10-dash presentation on Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. with the $2,800 featured pace including Preferred mares lining up in race nine.

Brodie MacPhee will be in the race bike behind Redlandbethanyjean (pictured above) for owner Redland Farms of Bible Hill, N.S. The three-year-old daughter of Artspeak set an Atlantic record for two-year-old pacing fillies in 2022 when she won over the Truro Raceway in 1:54.4 and was a fifth shy of that time last week with a 1:55 flat victory in Charlottetown during her sophomore campaign. Tom Weatherbie trains the post two starter.

The fast-leaving Elm Grove Mistress from the Jennifer Doyle barn will start from post three with Jason Hughes in the bike as the mare looks for win number nine of the season.

Rail control goes to Outrageous Style (Gilles Barrieau) for trainer Ron Matheson. The Hes Watching four-year-old is a seven-time winner so far in 2023.

Ms Moyse (Adam Merner) has post four from the Melissa Rennie barn while Better Be In Love (Marc Campbell) will leave from post five for trainer Brendan Mullen. The outside post six goes to You Aint Dolly (Kenny Arsenault), who is having a career season on the track for trainer Brendan Curran. The Shadow Play seven-year-old paced right to her lifetime winning record last week in defeat, as she was second to Redlandbethanyjean while race timed in 1:55.1.

The "Post Time Picks" will take rail control in selecting Outrageous Style to get it all: “Outrageous Style was storming on the end of it last week and less than two lengths away at the finish. Now she gets the rail and will be covered up so we’re betting she crosses the line first.”

The $2,900 top trot is in race seven with Glider Man (Hughes) favoured from post three for co-owner and trainer Doyle and co-owner Danny Birt of Earnscliffe, P.E.I. His main foes are slated as Whole Nother (MacPhee) and Windmeredontuworry (Corey MacPherson).
