Lacey McCabe pupil Rockabillycockshut was on another speed mission in London, Ont. on Wednesday night (Jan. 4) and accomplished the job with a whisker win in a $9,000 conditioned pace to win her fifth straight race.
J Harris secured the top with the four-year-old Bettors Delight mare and clicked a :29.1 first quarter before slowing proceedings. With Big Bad Jenn anchored uncovered along the rim to a :59.4 half, Rockabillycockshut managed to stroll up the backside to three-quarters in 1:28.3 and spun for home with just enough in the tank. Big Lady J vaulted down the center of the course after Rockabillycockshut in the stretch, but ran out of racetrack and settled for second in a 1:58.3 mile. Ms Meaghan Sparkel sat a pocket trip to take third and Pacingdownadream was fourth.
Glenview Livestock Ltd. owns Rockabillycockshut, a 12-time winner in 28 starts and an earner of $58,870. She paid $3.60 to win.
