Harness Racing's Best of the Decade (2010 - 2019) - Race

Harness Racing's Race of the Decade (2010-2019)

"I do not believe what I just saw...Wiggle It Jiggleit was beaten, he kept on coming and nails Lost For Words in an epic Little Brown Jug. Can you believe this? WHAT A RACE!. This could be the best race ever in harness racing history."

Those words from the late, great Sam McKee, uttered with sheer incredulity, came immediately after the 2015 Little Brown Jug Final. Sam's words spoke for the entire harness racing industry as Wiggle It Jiggleit persevered over a determined pacesetter Lost For Words and captured the third leg of pacing's Triple Crown.

Best race in harness racing history? That's yet to be determined. It was, however, the overwhelming selection as the best race of the 2010s.

What They Said About The 2015 Little Brown Jug:

"I was lucky enough to cover this race and as soon as the horses hit the wire, I blurted: 'Did we just see the greatest race ever?' To this day, it can still be argued that, yes, we did."- Garnet Barnsdale, freelance writer and President of the Canadian Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Association

"There is nothing more thrilling than a stretch duel with a photo finish to determine the winner. This race took that to the next level with the incredible heart displayed by Wiggle It Jiggleit to battle back. A race that will live on for a long time." - Mark McKelvie, Manager, Communications & Content, Woodbine Mohawk Park

"Want to explain to people what 'champion' means? Show them this race." - Evan Pattak, freelance writer & publicist
