Mohawk Racetrack will be rocking this weekend while hosting the Metro Pace and Canadian Pacing Derby presented by HPIBet.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. with the first race beginning at 7:05 p.m. In addition to the Canadian Pacing Derby, Canada’s oldest harness race, and the Metro Pace, the richest race for two-year-olds, the event will feature live bands, a mouth-watering buffet and BBQ food, and a driver’s autograph signing.
Amanda Stavrou (@AmandaStavs) will host the fun-filled evening that features the talents of Gillian Nicola, who will sign the national anthem in addition to performing from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mohawk fan favourite Brian MacIntyre will also be performing from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Kayla Howran from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
TSN 1 will broadcast the event from 9:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. as race enthusiasts aim to win the guaranteed $50,000 in the Early Pick 4 and the guaranteed $100,000 in the special stakes races (eight through 11) Pick 4. This is a "First Bet On Us" night where registrants can receive a free Canadian Pacing Derby t-shirt and four times the points when more than $100 is wagered on live Mohawk racing with a HPIBet account card.
Fans will also get an opportunity to meet their favourite drivers as part of an autograph signing that begins at 6:30 p.m.
