There is an immediate part-time position available in the Member Services area of Standardbred Canada.

Standardbred Canada is an incorporated non-profit organization whose mandate is to supervise, record, store and distribute information on all registered Standardbreds and to promote harness racing in Canada and beyond.

Description:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic person to join our Member Services team in the Mississauga head office. The successful candidate will be reporting to The Registrar and Manager of Member Services. This position demands flexibility to cope with changing priorities and working as part of a team.

Education:
Minimum Grade 12 education - Post Secondary education is preferred.

Technical Skills:
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Personal Skills:
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication (oral & written) in French and English along with an excellent telephone manner and exemplary customer service skills. He/she must be mature with high standards of professionalism and strong organizational skills with good attention to detail.

Experience:
Industry experience is a definite asset, but not required.

  • Detail oriented with excellent time management skills

Responsibilities (include but are limited to):

  • Process transactions; capturing information into our database

  • Invoicing

  • Respond to telephone and email inquiries

  • Written communication with members

  • Scan, index and quality control electronic imaging of all documents (member/horse/track)

  • Cover receptionist duties when required

  • Must be able to work collaboratively with other staff members
