The fourth annual Bring A Friend is back at eight of your favourite tracks across Canada during the weekend of July 15-17. Our goal is to make this year the best one yet, so we’re offering a prize package that you won’t want to miss out on!
All Standardbred Canada members, other BAF hosts and their friends who sign-up/sign-in at their tracks on-site registration table will be entered into a draw for a chance to win one of two prize packages, which consists of a $100 gift card to the racetrack of their choice and a $50 gift card to the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s online store.
The Bring A Friend promotion is a challenge for everyone involved in the industry – SC members, racing fans, commission licensees, trades people, etc. – to bring a friend to the harness races on this weekend. The friends should be people who have never been to the harness races or haven’t been in the past year. This is an opportunity for each and every one of us to make a difference and not only promote harness racing but to take the time and show someone new the ropes. What better way for someone to learn about racing and betting than having that one on one time.
Check out this video of Willie Win taking his friend Flo to Mohawk Racetrack where he helped her understand the basics of what goes on at the track. He showed Flo how to read a program, scout the horses in the post parade, make a bet and cheer their horse on to victory. They also had the chance to meet driver Jody Jamieson and receive his autograph!

The participating tracks will be offering fun and exciting activities, contests, and draws to ensure members and friends get the VIP treatment and have a fantastic harness racing experience.
It is up to us, the membership and industry participants to drive this event. It’s time to invite your friends out to join you on your track’s BAF day. Let’s expose some new people to the sport and industry we all love, share our passion for harness racing and have a chance to win awesome prizes!
