The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ) has issued a notice reminding its members of payment information for the 2024 SBOANJ Breeders Awards.
The 2024 SBOANJ Breeders Awards will pay 12 per cent of money earned by a New Jersey-sired horse to the first breeder of record. The program includes the following races:
- New Jersey Sire Stakes Premier Division Races
- New Jersey Sire Stakes Standardbred Development Fund Races
- Renaissance Pace
- SBOANJ Garden State Trot
- SBOANJ Home Grown Pace
- New Jersey Sire Stakes Maturity
- New Jersey Classic
Payments will be made by the SBOANJ at the end of each series or race date. All purse distribution and final race results will be determined by the New Jersey Racing Commission testing policies. Every effort will be made to distribute the awards in a timely fashion.
All cheques will be made out to the individual who is listed first as breeder, as per United States Trotting Association records. The first breeder listed must be an SBOANJ member and have W9/W8 forms on file with the SBOANJ in order to receive payment.
