Standardbred Canada (SC) is pleased to launch Self-Serve 2.0, the upgraded and improved online entry program for SC member trainers. In early January, SC launched the Self-Serve program and since that time, SC has made many improvements and upgrades, resulting in a more user-friendly and efficient program.

Self-Serve 2.0 features the following upgrades:

  • Stable of Horses – features a list of horses so you can choose the horse you wish to enter. This shows the last start of the horse and current status. Horses that you train / own can be added or deleted any time.

  • Stable of Drivers / Trainers – Create your own roster of drivers to choose from in a drop down menu that appears anytime you choose a driver. Drivers can be added or deleted any time.

  • Stable of Tracks – Create your own roster of racetracks to enter your horses and see condition sheets for these specific racetracks. Racetracks can be added or deleted at any time.

Here is how the program is easier to use:

  • Once you have a stable of horses, drivers and tracks, choose one of your horses and the conditions for the tracks in your stable, for the gait of your horse will be displayed. Wins, earnings and average earnings per start will be shown for the horse’s last 3, 5, 6, and 10 starts along with lifetime, current and previous year’s stats.

  • Once you choose the condition for your horse, the last driver and trainer are shown for the horse and you can use the drop down list to enter a new driver /trainer.

  • The status of the horse is shown on the stable list and once the draw is published, the status will be changed to show the race # the horse is in along with the post position drawn. (when applicable)

“These new upgrades are a result of trainer feedback which allows users to enter horses more efficiently, and makes the program more user friendly,” said Darryl Kaplan, Sr. Director of Information and Innovation. “We are confident that trainers will find the upgrades very useful and expect a significant uptake in online entries in the coming months. A huge thanks to the IT Department for working hard to make these important upgrades to the program.”

All trainers that are SC members in good standing can have free access to SC’s Self-Serve program to enter horses electronically as soon as condition sheets are made available from the race office.

To access the SC Self-Serve you must have a GMail account. If you don’t have a GMail account, click here to create one. If you have a GMail account and are ready to sign up for Self-Serve, click here.

The program is mobile-friendly, allowing trainers to enter horses from smartphones, tablets and laptops or desktop computers.
