Congratulations to Keith Kurtz of Guelph, Ont., for winning the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club’s Spring Survivor Online Handicapping Contest.
Due to the ‘non-spring’ like weather in Ontario, the race cards were cancelled at Flamboro Downs and Woodbine Mohawk Park, making the contest winner the contestant who survived the selected contest races at Century Downs Racetrack & Casino and Fraser Downs.
Kurtz and 27 other entrants selected horses that finished, first, second or third to survive the four contest races. Keith was declared the winner in a random draw.
A former trainer and driver who stepped away from Standardbreds for a position with the City of Guelph, Kurtz still follows the harness racing industry and plans to re-enter the training side once he retires from his current job.
Congratulations to Keith who has won a $50.00 gift certificate to the Canadian harness racetrack of his choice and a Fan Club swag package.
