Mirko Paulic Passes

After a courageous battle with cancer, longtime Standardbred industry participant Mirko Paulic of Hamilton, Ont. passed away on Thursday, Oct. 18 at the age of 74.

Known as 'Papa' to his friends and family, Paulic owned and trained harness horses for decades and also ran the old equine spa at Mohawk Racetrack. Horses most dear to Paulic include Kathys Bye Bye and Cassys Success.

Predeceased by grandson Joseph Roberts and son Jerry Paulic. Survived by daughter Mary Paulic (Mark), granddaughter Vicki Paulic and grandson Jacob Roberts (Monica).

The family has announced that there will be no funeral service as cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date with details to be announced. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Peters Hospital in Hamilton would be appreciated.
