After running just two of its scheduled 10 harness races on Sunday evening (January 21), Flamboro Downs was forced to cancel the remainder of its live program due to a power outage involving the track lighting.

Live harness racing is scheduled to resume on Thursday. Post time is set for 6 p.m.

This is a twenty year problem, which I guess was never fixed.I bet the slots had power.

Twice in three cards. Now I realize sometimes stuff happens, but twice in three cards? Time to find the problem and fix the problem. Totally unacceptable.

The benefits of afternoon racing. Great Canadian wouldn’t have to fix the lighting system. They’d also save on hydro.

I think we would all be justified in expecting a better performance in the operating of Flamboro Downs.

Flamboro has canceled 3 times in the last 10 days, one weather related but the next two were track lights. I hope the AGCO is looking into why! Why haven’t the lights been fixed? Why are the Horsepeople the ones to suffer? Just remember this is the same Organization that has been granted the Gaming Bundle.

Last Thursday's cancelled card could have been contested on Saturday at 1pm and Sunday's cancelled card could go ahead on Monday at 1pm. The cards did not need to be cancelled just postponed and run as drawn in the daytime.
Was this considered as an alternative to cancelling by the people making these decisions?
If not, why not?
