Standardbred Canada is pleased to announce that we have increased the insurance benefits for drivers, trainers, grooms and officials if they become disabled because of horse-related accidents
.
Effective January 1, 2011, the weekly accident indemnity benefit is payable as follows:
- Active Drivers - $275 (from $260 current)
- Active Trainers - $255 (from $240 current)
- Grooms & Officials - $210 (from $200 current)
The weekly benefit is payable from the 14th day of accidental injury for up to 104 weeks in any rolling 4-year period.
The plan also includes accidental death & dismemberment coverage up to $30,000 and accidental medical & dental expense maximum of $3,000 per calendar year.
