Off a blowout 1:51.4 victory in the opening leg of the Whenuwishuponastar, Notorious Pink strolled in the second preliminary as the 1-9 favourite with a 1:53 performance on Tuesday (Aug. 4) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Driver Bob McClure secured the lead from post 5 for the filly by Captaintreacherous and faced little to no challenge from there. She posted fractions of :27.3, :56.1 and 1:24.4 all with Lillysilk riding her helmet closely from second. Second-tier starter Lady Midnight rolled first over starting at the half, recouping seven lengths around the far turn while chasing her pacesetting stablemate. Through the stretch Notorious Pink maintained a one-length lead over Lillysilk, while Postscript closed off a pylon trip for third and Lady Midnight settled for fourth.

Owned by Alagna Racing, Steven Head, John Fodera and Riverview Racing LLC, Notorious Pink remains unbeaten from three starts while banking $25,200. She paid $2.10 to win.

Co-featured on the Tuesday card was a $36,000 Preferred Trot. To read a recap of that event, click this link.
