A set of O.S.S. Grassroots divisions for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings went postward Thursday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park, with Say You Do and Perfetto winning their respective $19,150 assignments.

Say You Do went to the front and didn’t look back en route to a 1:57.2 triumph in the first division for driver Paul MacDonell and trainer Stephen Oldford.

The son of Kadabra-Sno Doubt About It marched to the lead and led the field through panels of :28.4, :59 and 1:27 before kicking home in :29.2 to defeat race favourite T Barrr and The Magic Number.

Oldford Racing LLC and Gene Oldford Farms LLC share ownership on the two-time winner who now boasts a bankroll in excess of $17,000.

Perfetto was heavily-favoured in the second division, and he didn’t disappoint an army of pari-mutuel supporters.

Trevor Henry got away fourth with the 1-5 favourite before rushing his charge to the lead in the backstretch. Iam What I Am had the field behind him at the quarter in :30.1, but it was Perfetto in charge through middle fractions of :59.4 and 1:29.3. He then kicked home in :28.1 to win convincingly over Smart Pick and Iam What I Am. Time for the mile was 1:57.4.

Richard ‘Nifty’ Norman trains the son of Majestic Son-Perfect Prelude for Enzed Racing Stable Inc, David McDuffee and Joe Hansford. It was the third win of the season – and the fourth to date – for the career winner of $155,296.

A number of freshmen performers competed on the undercard and among the winners was Luziana, who went gate-to-wire for driver Phil Hudon in 1:54.2.

The son of Sweet Lou-For My Mom marched to the top from Post 7 and rolled the field through fractions of :27.2, :58 and 1:27 before kicking home in :27.2 to defeat Wager On Me and Planet Hanover.

Bill Budd trains the rookie for owner Bruce Davy of Brockville, Ont. It was the first win in three attempts for the $12,000 purchase from last year’s Harrisburg Yearling Sale.

Blazing Trail rallied for a maiden-breaking win in 2:00.3 for the tandem of driver Paul MacDonell and trainer John Bax.

The son of Father Patrick-Be My Baby got away third and held that position while Cometpedia threw down panels of :30, 1:01.4 and 1:32.1. MacDonell activated his charge around the final turn, and the colt used a :27.3 final frame to win over race favourite Steuben Hanover and Cometpedia.

Bax Stable, Glengate Farms, Dave Hudson and Happy Trails Stables share ownership on the $42,000 purchase from last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Southwind Rapunzel was a wire-to-wire winner in her pari-mutuel debut for trainer Eric Adams and teamster Jody Jamieson.

The daughter of Dragon Again-Southwind Rio stole away with soft first-half fractions of :29.1 and :59, but she picked up the pace going to the three-quarter pole in 1:27.4. From there she fired home in :27 to win comfortably in 1:54.4 over Undefiable and Carbon Capture.

Purchased by Millar Farms for $67,000 from last year’s Harrisburg Yearling Sale, Southwind Rapunzel is a half-sister to Southwind Roulette (1:50.1 - $678,571).
