Saturday, July 15 proved to be a productive day at the office for trainer Michael Carther, as three of his pupils made trips to the Hiawatha Horse Park winner’s circle after their respective assignments.

The first of Carther’s wins came in Race 3 with the Lorne House-driven Kilmartinprettyboy ($4.50), as the Breewood Gringo horse posted a four and three-quarter-length victory in 2:01 off a pocket trip.

Carther’s next victory came in Race 5 with five-year-old Badlands Hanover chestnut Ginger ($7.00). With pilot Alex Lilley aboard, Ginger came first-up from third and paced to a one and a half-length victory in 1:55.3.

Carther came right back in the next dash (Race 6) to capture his third training win on the program, as the four-year-old Santanna Blue Chip mare Sparkle ($3.90) did just that for driver Alex Lilley. The duo started from Post 4 and made every pole a winning one before notching a one and a quarter-length victory in 1:57.4.
