Powerful New Stable In Town

Published: May 29, 2015 04:32 pm EDT

The Stable That God Loves is bursting at the seams and its stable members are strutting victory lane with increasing regularity at tracks north and south of the Canada/US border.

With the recent addition of Puslinch, Ont. horseman Michael Guerrierio’s six-horse stable – co-owned with other connections, and headed by the Dave Menary-co-owned and trained Hes Watching – stable members now number a whopping 52 pacers and trotters, plus Mac Nichol’s classy Thoroughbred Madefromlucky, who is headed for the toughest test of his young career on June 6 in the $1.5-million Belmont Stakes.

On any given day, members of God’s Stable can be found in the win columns at U.S. and Canadian tracks.

Stable stars Shake It Cerry and Luck B Withyou have been burning up the racetrack at U.S. venues; Rockin With Dewey has reeled off victories in her last two starts at Mohawk Racetrack; Nashville has been dominant at Rideau Carleton Raceway; P L Idaho has a pair of impressive victories at Mohawk; the talented Reverend Hanover, McWicked and Vegas Vacation are poised to crash the winner’s circle, and a classy group of two-year-olds are prepping for the lucrative stakes events which are ahead.

A small percentage (one per cent) of the 2015 purse earnings of the stable members of God’s Stable will be returned for the diligent work of the Standardbred Chaplaincy of Canada.

The Stable That God Loves is rolling up some big numbers. From 120 starts, its stable members have racked up 25 wins, 23 seconds, and 23 thirds for purse earnings of $769,039 with a whopping UTR of .378.

Compare the above stats to the current leading UTR-rated stable at Mohawk, which is a distant second with a .304 UTR from 111 starts, 22 wins, 14 seconds, 12 thirds and $315,018 in purse earnings.

There is always space available in the Stable That God Loves. Each and every horse (trotter, pacer, or Thoroughbred), regardless of ability, is welcome and guaranteed a stall.
