Forever Paradise Wins Another Preferred

Forever Paradise used the passing lane to beat Bazillion and Clic K in the stretch to win the Saturday feature event at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Mike McGuigan was in the bike for the victory in the $2,400 Preferred, leaving from the seven-hole and tracking race leader Clic K throughout the mile before making his move down the lane. The time of the mile was 1:57.2. Forever Paradise and McGuigan have been a hot combination with three wins from four starts this season. Kevin MacLean trains for owners Reg MacPherson, David and Aaron MacKenzie.

Miss Oromocto came in from Truro and claimed the $2,350 Open Mares Pace by a head in 1:57.3 for driver Mark Haig and trainer Melvin Land. Best Risque was second while Brodys Leona was third.

Corey MacPherson recorded a driving triple. Marc Campbell notched a driving double on the 12-dash program.
