Who would harness racing's sharpest minds select in the 2018 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable? Trot Insider will feature 'expert picks' in advance of the contest entry deadline.

Race Marketing Manager and Commentator for Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, Emily Gaskin has offered her picks for the 2018 Fantasy Stable. Gaskin has 'gone local' with Beckhams Z Tam as her choice from the solid selection of Standardbreds in Group C.

"He’s an Indiana Guy and I’m an Indiana Girl! I thoroughly enjoyed watching Beckhams Z Tam throughout his sophomore campaign, highlighted by a Breeders Crown win at Hoosier Park," noted Gaskin. "He’s a very versatile horse that I think will make the transition from three to four exceptionally well -- he’s been well managed, has a high turn of speed and the grittiness to have a great campaign this year!"

After a winless rookie season, Beckhams Z Tam blossomed as a three-year-old for trainer Jamie Macomber. In 20 seasonal starts, the son of Always A Virgin - Sarah Lucky Charm posted a summary of 11-3-4 with earnings exceeding $512,000. His biggest victory of the season came on his home turf when the Indiana-bred bested North America's best sophomore pacers in the 2017 Breeders Crown.

Now with three qualifiers under his belt as a four-year-old -- the most recent of which a sizzling 1:51.4 mile on May 5, Beckhams Z Tam makes his aged debut in a $21,000 Invitational Pace on Friday night (May 11) at Hoosier Park.
