Saulsbrook Coral Tops N.S. Select Sale

The Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Commission held its 2016 Select Sale on Friday evening, and officials were pleased to see the average sale price jump from last year’s total.

The sale topper was Hip 30 Saulsbrook Coral, who fetched a final bid of $16,500. Danny Ross purchased the daughter of Western Paradise-Shark Reef. She’s a sister to Saulsbrook Fame (1:51.4-$223,739) and Saulsbrook Astrobo (1:52 - $173,297).

In total, 23 yearlings went through the ring for total sales of $160,600. The average price for yearlings purchased was $6,982 -– an increase from last year’s average price of $5,966.
